Lodi Lake Nature Trail is a heavily trafficked 1.8 mile loop trail located near Lodi, California, which features a lake and is ideal for all levels of skill. The trail offers many activity opportunities and is best used from May through July. The trail is mostly used for canoeing, fishing and hiking.
The nature trail connects the exercise trail to create a fun loop that allows hikers to enjoy the wonderful sights, sounds and scents that can be found in the Mokelumne River riparian area. A small town seldom takes such care to protect an significant ecological environment, such as the town of Lodi, in this 58-acre nature park. You know, this place is unique as soon as you see the murals on the trail. Move straight ahead on the asphalt-paved road, the Nature Trail, which will usually take you northeast 0. 5 Five miles away.
In reality, you could turn around at that point, confident that you've seen much of what the park has to offer; but this hike continues on the exercise trail to create a loop around the park and along the former river channel. Walk past the outdoor theater set in the center of the magnificent redwoods of the coast.
Trail Details: 2.5 miles with a minimum elevation rise. This loop trail is child friendly and offers wheelchair access. Located on 1101 West Turner Street, Lodi, CA. It's a short, scenic walk and the information plaques along the path people really enjoyed. Visitors can see squirrels, ducks and a deer too. Bear in mind that dogs are not permitted on the road. If you don't find street parking outside the park, you have to pay a $5 parking fee.
There's a very small parking lot right at the entrance to the trail, but if you're like us, you can park by the payment box (just past the park entrance) and take a stroll around the lake before you enter the trail section. (You're going to walk to the lake on your left.)
Be sure to find the "Nature Field" sign and obey. The gateway is a protected area with a small car park. People hiking here will appreciate the place because it is shaded, flat, quiet and simple. They can do a few laps around the nature area and head out to the paved areas of the lake. They can see beautiful trees and feel like walking in the wild.
