Peterson Park is a spot to avoid your woes, have a swing and enjoy the tree-filled shade. Whether it's a morning jog or a midnight picnic, Peterson Park is always a good place to hang out with family or friends.

 

The park has amenities that include BBQs, dog park, picnic shelter, available seats for 25 people and tables. It boasts a lot of features for you family to enjoy like a BBQ, picnic areas, picnic shelters and picnic tables. It’s also child-friendly because it has a playground. Also, this place is  rentable. It’s convenient to stay here for long because they have restrooms, too. If you are a sports jock and you want to play with a team or a few friends, you can play soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball. And if you want to practice your tennis skills, there’s a  tennis Court here. There are so many activities that you can do.

 

Peterson Park is a massive park. There is a front park and a back park linked by a lovely walking path bordering the grassy area, a tennis court and a basketball court. The front park has swings and restrooms, while the backpark doesn't, but the backpark is much better suited for toddlers and smaller children. It's very well shaded and situated in a lovely neighborhood. 

 

The park was named after Thomas A. Peterson. He was famous for his shorter name, Tom. Tom had an impact on the lives of all those who knew him and will be remembered for his family's quick wit, humour, loyalty, integrity and dedication. He was an avid golfer and a member of both the Woodland Yolo Fliers Club and the Woodbridge Golf & Country Club, where he served on the board. He was a member and past president of both Lodi Kiwanis Club and Lodi-Tokay Rotary Club as well as Woodland Rotary Club and served on the Lodi Boys and Girls Club board of directors. For all his hard work and commitment to make Lodi a beautiful place to live, Thomas A. Peterson Park was dedicated in his memory in 1995.

 

Visiting this place will make you realize that it’s a clean, healthy park with no homeless drug users like other parks in the area. It's a perfect place to have a picnic and spend some time with your family. It is a highly recommended place!
