Shasta park is a community park located at 955 East Edison street, Manteca, California, 95336. The park is a low-key neighborhood park featuring maintained grassy expanses, shade trees and a playground.
The park is big and spacious. There is a lot of play equipment for kids. One playground is made available for older kids. There are swings scattered around the park. In addition, the park is made more special with the plenty grassy areas for playing sports such as frisbees, football, catch or simply for tags. People can also bring their pets to play with.
The Shasta park is also great for walking as there is a sidewalk path around and throughout the park. There are also big trees providing shade to protect them from too much heat from the sun. You can also bring blankets or picnic mats to put under the trees and stay for a while to read or to simply just relax and chill. Before going to the park, make sure that you and your family members or friends have already used the restrooms because there are no restrooms available at the moment inside the premise of the park.
Hundreds of youngsters can now have fun under the sun on the new playground equipment at Shasta Park. According to the city’s administration, this is the sort of atmosphere the city had hoped to create after leading a neighborhood group into a partnership with the city of Manteca, California and Recreation. Gone are the bike tracks left from the areakids converting the desolate into a make-shift BMX track.
They were able to secure a grant from the state to incorporate recycled tires rather than wood chips for the playground surface.They also managed to raise $20,000 from various donors. Included were notables such as Manteca Unified school board member Vern Gebhardt and Gary Dei Rossi, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction at the San Joaquin County Office of Education.
