People in Tracy are welcoming to multicultural citizens and communities. They provide leisure opportunities for people of all ages and families. In Tracy, they believe the heart of the city is our vibrant downtown area; it provides a hub of operation for residents, businesses and tourists alike.

One of the main parks in the city is Veterans Park on the town's south side, which has a broad shade canopy with picnic tables that can accommodate up to 80 people.

This park is devoted to Veterans of our nations. A few years back, at the opening ceremony, after the ceremony was finished, the city planned a fly over the park for some F16s from Vandenberg AFB. To end the day and open this lovely park was a good and fitting gesture.

It is a lovely park within a peaceful neighborhood. This park is breathtaking! It is big and clean. There is a walking track running right around the perimeter. The play area for children is really clean, and instead of sand or bark, it has a foam floor. There is also a shaded overhang area with chairs, tables and toilets.

Veterans Park features a nice playground for youth. It has skateboard ramps right next door, and two large basketball courts. It even has playgrounds to burn calories in for your little ones. There are also enclosed patios where you can bbq out with your family and enjoy picnics. It even has a well maintained track that you can stroll in or ride in. There is also a cricket mound right next to the patio. There is a good walk and cycle path leading up to basketball courts, and a nice diamond and field baseball. The picnic area and BBQ area are well kept. There are water fountains and garbage cans all over. They also have a parking area.

Veteran’s Park is a great park for anyone who just wants to sit and relax for a moment.

A park is an open space area created for public use, and is usually managed and operated by a municipal authority. Parks usually mimic savannas or open woodlands, the forms of nature most calming to humans. Usually, grass is kept short to deter insect pests and to encourage picnics and sports events to be enjoyed. Trees are chosen for their beauty and to provide shade.
